As a skilled therapist I believe I play various roles for my clients, such as being a positive role model, a mentor and a confidant to them. My natural ability to connect with my clients and to skillfully build rapport with them while remaining non-judgmental and authentic, I can fulfill those roles.I use person-centered approach to build the basis for the therapeutic alliance with my clients. Although, my theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I draw techniques from various other therapies such as Gestalt Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to meet each client’s unique goals and needs.I obtained a Master in Science (MS) in Community Counseling from National Louis University and have since worked at the Community Crisis Center as a counselor for victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. I have had previous internship experience working with the incarcerated women in India. I am also a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor.

In my free time, I like to read, work out and travel. I love how the outdoors and nature brings out the adventurer in me. While I enjoy the peaceful sound of ocean waves at a beach, I have also enjoyed white water rafting, zip lining, wild life safaris, jet skilling, parasailing and sky diving.
